About Us

Founded by Dr. John A. Giannone, Newport Animal Hospital is a friendly, full-service veterinary hospital dedicated to providing veterinary care to companion animals in and around Newport Coast, California.

The key to providing your pet with a long, healthy and happy life is preventative care as well as integrative medicine. This is why thorough wellness checkups are a standard piece of the care we offer. We also believe that the judicious application of vaccines is an important aspect of keeping your pet healthy and have developed a well-balanced vaccination protocol. We also recommend and provide regular dental care as well as allergy testing, animal acupuncture, nutraceutical supplements, cold laser therapy, nutritional counseling, lost pet microchip identification, and much more.

However, preventative care does not begin and end at our facility. When you come in for an appointment you will receive important home health care advice as well as new information and recommendations for the care of your particular type and breed of pet. Our clients will also see how our fully equipped lab and pharmacy complement our wellness care services and are a convenient and cost-effective service for you and your pet.

We also understand that accidents and illness will happen even to the healthiest of pets. This is where Newport Animal Hospital really excels. Our skill and expertise are enhanced by advanced diagnostic imaging equipment, in-house medical testing capabilities, a complete surgical suite, and a wide range of internal medicine expertise and resources.

In all, Newport Animal Hospital is committed to providing the highest quality of care for your pet by a staff that is courteous and friendly, in a facility that is comfortable, safe and convenient.
