Dr. Tara Mendez is originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from St. Norbert College. She followed that with a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017. Afterward, she practiced for 4.5 years in northeastern WI before moving to sunny California. Dr. Mendez looks forward to meeting you and your pet to create a tailored plan that will keep them happy and healthy throughout all stages of life. She loves being a veterinarian because it is a constantly changing field with the unique opportunity to treat animals while enhancing the human-animal bond. Her areas of interest are veterinary dentistry and client education.

Outside of the clinic, she is passionate about movies, theatre, traveling, and a variety of sports (especially the Green Bay Packers!). Dr. Mendez shares her home with a black cat (Fellini) and a Bichon Frise (Evie).
